Our History
Southwest Seas was formed in 1993 for one purpose and one purpose only- to provide a full
service custom aquarium business that provides design, installation and maintenance on a reputation
based on excelence and passion for the aquarium trade. With over twenty-ive years as professional
aquarists, SWS is proud to have established a commitment to providing unique, yet functional
underwater showcases. SWS mindset is lhat owning an aquarium, while aeslt1etically pleasing,
should also be an educational experience. We strive on educating the client about differences of the
various installation styles as well as the livestock in it. SWS works closely wilt1 interior designers,
architects, and contractors to create a unique, one of a kind display worlt1y of years of enjoyment!
The most important component of owning a successful aquarium is maintenance. SWS provides
the most comprehensive aquarium maintenance program available. SWS will not compromise quality
to meet or beat a compelitor's price. Aquarium service is our business, not just a hobby! We employ
well-trained professional aquarists. New technicians train intensively for 90 days, regardless of
experience, before they venture out on their own. Our training program includes a background check,
field work, more field work, and then more field work which insures competent and professional
service technicians.
SWS is lhe largest aquarium design and maintenance company in Arizona. SWS is licensed,
insured and bonded and employ a large professional staff of highly trained aquarium technicians and
managers. We currently have hundreds of satisfied customers statewide as well as nationally. SWS
are the wrators for Rainforest Café in Arizona and have currently designed and instaled aquariums
in ten states wilt1 many more on lhe horizon. Installation forecasts are by 2010, SWS wil have
designed and installed aquariums in tl1irty-five states! Our aquariums have been seen on 3TV,
Phoenix home and Garden as well as other local publications. We love what we do and it shows!
